Mr. Gitto's and Mrs. Villaverde's 4th grade classes posed after a great field trip to Missouri Town.
1st grade won an extra recess with Mr Levy and Mrs Spight by bringing in the most donated items for HELP Humane Society in Belton. The items were delivered and the HELP Humane Society was very grateful!
Mr. Gitto's and Mrs. Villaverde's 4th grade classes posed after a great field trip to Missouri Town.
Three Kindergarten classes held a book fair featuring books written and illustrated by the students. Students researched a specific animal using books from the library and an internet database. They were paid in book fair money for publishing their book. They were then able to buy copies of books with the earned money. Parents, students and staff were invited to the book fair which was run completely by the students.
First grade students in Cindy George’s class at Kentucky Trail Elementary recently learned facts about eggs as students were dying hard-boiled eggs. Students learned that egg shells are made of calcium carbonate, similar to other items such as sea shells, coral and pearls. The class also deemed eggs to be a healthy snack idea.
